BUS company Stagecoach has responded to concerns about overcrowded buses running through Overton and Whitchurch at the start of the new academic year.
Parish councillor for Overton Brian Langer had called for bus operators to run more services at the start of the academic year, as the sudden impact on the space on buses leads to regular users made to run late.
"As a passenger it's always a problem at the start of the academic year," he said.
"A lot of the regular users are pushed off because of the lack of room, and they have to wait for the next bus and this makes them late."
Acting operations manager at Stagecoach Andover Richard Tyldseley said: "We will be running Dupe buses as we did last year to relieve the passenger load."
Mr Tyldseley added that last year there were problems running the duplicate service.
But this year no such problems should arise because all the services are being run from Andover.
"We did several passenger checks, and with both buses there will be plenty of room," he added.
