AN AWARD-WINNING gastropub in Longparish has been put on the market for a potential new restaurateur.
The Plough Inn, which closed late last year, has been made available to be let.
As previously reported by the Advertiser, the restaurant shut down on Christmas Eve after four years of business.
One of the pub’s former co-owners was television chef James Durrant who has since taken a new job at a restaurant in London.
A highlight of the restaurant’s history came just weeks before it finished its final lunch service.
The Plough Inn came fourth in the nation’s ‘Top 50 Gastropubs 2015’.
Drake & Company are property consultants that have been instructed to market the pub, which caters for up to 60.
The agent in charge of marketing the property, James Drake, said: “This property represents an ideal opportunity for an experienced food operator to capitalise on the reputation of this destination pub and restaurant."
The rental offer is on the basis of a new free-of-tie lease for a term to be agreed.
