FIRE crews from Andover and Whitchurch battled a blaze inside a mobility scooter shed which had begun to spread to a nearby retirement home.
The fire started in a mobility scooter shed outside Westfield Court sheltered housing complex, on Old Winton Road, at around 10.30pm last night.
Crews from Andover and Whitchurch attended the fire, which began to spread to the nearby residential property.
No residents were injured according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue.
A statement on Whitchurch Fire Station's Twitter account said: "Person reported fire in Andover last night with both Andover pumps. Fire in mobility scooter shed spread to building #goodstop.
"Well organised on site manager of the sheltered housing complex made our lives easier. All residents safe, well and accounted for."
