POLICE are investigating reports of a 10-year-old boy being racially abused by teenagers last week.
The incident took place in a Ludgershall play area, at the end of Coronation Road and Bell Street allotments, at around 4pm on Thursday, July 20.
The boy was racially abused by a group of four males, all believed to be teenagers.
PC Hannah Milburn said: “This incident has understandably left the victim very upset. This behaviour will not be tolerated in Wiltshire and a formal investigation has been launched into this incident.
“Hate crime has no place here in Wiltshire and we would encourage anyone who believes they have been a victim of racial abuse to never suffer in silence and report it to police on 101 or report it via the True Vision website report-it.org.uk.
“We would also ask that any witnesses to this incident call us on 101 - any information you have could be significant to our investigation.”
