A MAN was arrested on suspicion of immigration offences at a service station yesterday.
The 27-year-old man was arrested at Sutton Scotney Services after he reportedly jumped off a lorry from France.
Immigration Enforcement was contacted by Hampshire Police, who made the initial arrest, yesterday evening.
A spokesperson from the Home Office said: “A 27-year-old man who presented himself as Sudanese was referred to the Home Office and his case will now be progressed according to the immigration rules.
“Where someone has no right to remain in the UK, we will take action to remove them.”
