FIREFIGHTERS were called to an Andover property this morning (Saturday) after a fire broke out in a garage.
Crews were called to South End Road at 10.47am after reports of a fire in a single-story domestic garage.
There was a vehicle inside, which a spokesperson for the fire service said had caught fire.
No injuries were reported, however the car was said to be “20 per cent damaged” in the blaze, with the garage also “25 per cent smoke damaged” as a result.
Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to extinguish the flames.
It made for a busy morning for firefighters, after crews from Andover were involved in extricating two casualties from a car following a crash in Weyhill.
Firefighters from Basingstoke and Amesbury also attended but police say no serious injuries were reported.
