Andover's The Light theatre has been granted the use of Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely’ mark.
The mark certifies that the venue is complying with the latest government and theatre industry Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of their staff and audiences.
It comes ahead of the venue staging a small winter season with a short run of shows, including theatrical comedy, stand-up, music and something for the little ones.
The Light is hoping to entice audiences back to the theatre after several months of Covid disruption.
Measures to keep audiences, staff and volunteers safe, include social distancing, enhanced cleaning, ticketless entry, multiple sanitising points and a cashless booking system.
The venue has also introduced a peace of mind bookings and refund policy.
The Lights team are confident that, although customers may see some changes around the venue, the team’s usual customer service and friendly faces remain unchanged.
The winter season begins on November 12 with a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the loss of comedienne and monologist, Joyce Grenfell.
