LOCAL TV personality Keith Chegwin dropped into Hurstbourne Tarrant on Saturday to officially open one of the village’s latest businesses.
The Tea Cosy is a family run business located behind the Texaco garage in the village selling a range of teas, fresh coffee, homemade cakes and light lunches.
It also sells local crafts, gifts and fresh flowers.
General manager, Jenni Danks, said: “We had an amazing turn out on Saturday and have continued to remain busy since.
“Having young children ourselves, we saw a need for a meeting point within the community where people of all ages can meet and enjoy some tea and cake.
“We hope, in the not too distant future, to start hosting craft afternoons as well as a reading group and a knit and natter group.
“We have a lovely outside seating area overlooking the countryside and also free Wi-Fi for our customers.
“The response to the tea room so far has been amazing with one little girl saying it was better than McDonalds.”
