THERE will be some funky foxtrots, cheeky Charlestons and sassy shimmies as a Tidworth choreographer puts on his first Christmas production.
Liam Abram, founder of Showoff Dance, will be making his childhood dreams come true by presenting his first show at The Wellington Academy Theatre next weekend.
With a top secret line-up, there will be a variety of dance moves, singing and acting with performers ranging in age from twoyear- old toddlers to ladies in their sixties.
Liam, who set up the company in 2012, said: “It is going to be an all singing, all dancing, all acting show. Don’t expect Broadway, it is not all professional ballet dancers on stage – these are normal people doing what they love – but there is something for everyone.”
Liam was inspired to launch Showoff Dance after growing up with few dance facilities in Tidworth and the show marks the culmination of two meteoric years for the 26-year-old dance and fitness instructor.
After being awarded the O2 Think Bigger Award, he used the money to expand the business and now teaches more than 700 people in nearly 30 classes a week.
The group will take to the stage at The Wellington Academy Theatre on December 19 and 20 from 7pm.
Tickets cost £9.50, with a percentage of ticket sales plus proceeds from raffles going to the NSPCC. To book visit showoffdance.co.uk.
