CHRISTMAS jumpers were out in force in Andover on Friday night.
Tony Earl, an engineer from the town, has decided to put his festive garments to good use to raise money for Save the Children – and invited everyone to join him in wearing theirs to Breakers.
The Christmas jumper bonanza began at the newly-opened social spot from 5.30pm and everyone who attended wearing their festive pullover were asked to make a donation to the charity’s national Christmas jumper campaign.
Tony, 51, of Admirals Way, who was joined by wife Frances and six-year-old daughter Meghan at the event said: “It started off as wearing Christmas jumpers and raising a bit of money. It was going to be a little affair on the estate but it progressed when we generated quite a lot of interest.
“It’s all for a good cause especially when you see the African children it pulls on your heart strings.”
