AN Andover disc jockey’s skills have been toasted at a prestigious awards ceremony.
DJ Chris Burford was shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Wedding Industry Awards, which included the cream of the crop from across London and the south east.
The awards recognise the wedding industry and those who work hard to give their clients the best wedding day experience.
Despite coming up just short in his bid to win the prize, Chris was pleased to have hit the right notes with his clients.
“I was blown away by some of the comments once the awards were over,” he said.
“My overall scores weren’t bad either, so that’s a bench mark for me next year.”
Chris is a member of the National Association of Disc Jockeys, where he served for three years as branch secretary for the south central region.
He is one of only a handful of national DJs that have been approved by the local trading standards.
After travelling to Farnham Castle for the finals, Chris met several familiar faces within the wedding industry including photographers, florists and caterers.
Chris, who has also been a recommended DJ for the Clock Barn in Whitchurch and Esseborne Manor Hotel, added: “Every wedding is personal.
It can be full of emotion, brides especially need reassurance and I like to think that I can help them in making their special day relaxed and fun.
“I would like to thank my wedding couples who voted for me.”
