THE BOSS of a high street phone shop is ringing the praises of his team after they picked up two top awards.
Staff at Andover’s EE store were fully charged with excitement as they scooped the Team of the Year at iSellmobile magazine’s annual awards in London.
The team, which is made up of Ursula Footitt, Terri Smith, Lewis Pinder, Lewis Bourne and headed up by store manager Chris Brown, received the peervoted prize during the ceremony at the Ministry of Sound, in honour of their hard work, energy and passion.
Alongside groups from their own company, the Andover team also beat stores from several other phone companies including Three, Vodafone and Tesco Mobile.
To top things off Andover’s Terri Smith also joined up with fellow EE colleagues to take top honours in the magazine’s Product Mastermind competition, which tested the group’s knowledge in a technical based quiz.
Regional manager for EE, Steve Tucker, said: “I am so proud of the team in Andover. They have worked hard all year on growing the store and the team into a successful store.
“They have focused on service to really give a great feel to the town of Andover and have been amazing supports for the local community and getting heavily involved in items such as the ‘Techy tea party’.
“The award really represents their hard work and passion for the store.”
