SUB-ZERO temperatures have left the south shivering this morning.
Frost is covering Hampshire as the temperature dropped as low as -3°C last night and parts are shrouded in mist and freezing fog.
However, the county is still free of snow, unlike other parts of the UK.
Once any mist has faded, today is forecast to be sunny and clear, with a high temperature of just under 5°C.
Tonight will see them fall back to just below freezing, but remaining clear and cloudless. Frost will soon return during the evening, and a dry night will follow with some good clear spells, but with the risk of mist or freezing fog patches. The minimum temperature will be -4°C.
