A PAEDOPHILE has been jailed for 14 years after admitting to historic sexual offences against four child victims who live in Hampshire.
John Keevil, of New Road, Landford, pleaded guilty to 22 counts of historic sexual offences against four children in the Salisbury area between 1997 and 2010 when he appeared in Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday (April 25).
The 52-year-old's victims are now all adult men living in Hampshire but were aged between nine and 17 when the crimes took place.
Detective Inspector John McGonigle said: “This was a Hampshire Constabulary-led investigation with assistance from Wiltshire Police.
“I would like to commend the victims in this investigation for the bravery and courage they have shown in coming forward after living with the horror of these attacks for many years.
“The trust they have invested in Hampshire Constabulary has meant we have been able to ensure that Keevil was finally held to account for these despicable crimes. I hope the result here today goes some way to giving them closure.”
