POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of arson following a fire at a popular High Street cafe.
The 23-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary with intent, following the incident at Butters Cafe on Sunday 4 December.
Police were called to High Street venue at 1.45am following reports of a fire at the front of the cafe.
Two fire crews from Andover attended the scene, using a hose real to extinguish the blaze.
Police say no-one was injured.
The force also confirmed they are treating the fire as arson, while Hampshire Fire and Rescue say they are carrying out an investigation.
The 23-year-old, arrested on suspicion of arson and attempted burglary with intent to steal, has been bailed until January 31, 2017, pending further enquiries.
Butters Cafe remains open for business.
