MORE than 70 firefighters were called to a thatched roof fire just outside Andover.
Crews from Basingstoke, Andover, Rushmoor and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were dealing with the incident in Monxton overnight.
The fire started at around 7.49pm last night (Saturday, 4 March) on one property and spread to the thatched roofs of two adjoining cottages.
The fire has been raging for more than fourteen hours.
Firefighters are still at the scene this morning preventing any further spread and to minimise the damage to the effected properties.
Fire chiefs have still not been called off the incident, where the fire is in the front and rear of the building.
But a Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said electrics have been isolated in the "traditional" house and there are no injuries.
More details to follow.
