TWO youth football teams have benefitted from donations from the Jamie G Sporting Trust totalling well over £1,000.
The charity recently awarded £933.42 to Andover CK U10s and a further £667.68 to Andover New Street U13s.
The funds will pay for two team kits and balls for Andover CK’s youth side and a sponsored kit and training aids for the New Street team.
Representatives from the Jamie G Sporting Trust attended Andover CK U10s’ first-ever match on Saturday, September 7, where they presented the new team with their cheque.
Club secretary Melissa James said: “Thank you both for coming up to our U10’s first game this morning to present us with our cheque to pay for two team kits and balls for our new teams.
“As a club we rely solely on donations and are extremely grateful for your generosity.”
Kevin Warwick, who runs the U13s side at New Street, also offered words of thanks.
He said: “It’s massive for grassroots football to have such great charities like the Jamie G Sporting Trust.
“Andover New Street U13s are extremely grateful for the sponsored kit and training aids, like the mannequins, which really help with the kids’ skill development.”
