TIME is running out to register for this year’s Andover Lake Run.
Entries are filling up fast with the race set to take place on Sunday, September 22, and the final date for submitting online entries will be Thursday, September 19.
This year’s event will be opened by former Olympian Kate Howey, who won silver at the 2000 Olympics and bronze at the 1992 games in Judo.
The day will feature chipped and timed 5km and 10km races as well as a shorter fun run on the athletics track. Plus, this year’s edition will be filmed by a drone, with footage to be streamed live on Facebook.
Races will begin at Charlton Athletics Pavilion. The 10k route will take participants around Charlton Lakes, into Anton Lakes and then back to the start line by the Pavilion. The 5k race will remain within Charlton Lakes.
The event, sponsored by the Aster Foundation, is once again being held in aid of Andover Foodbank.
In the last three years it has raised over £20,000 for the charity through entries, donations and sponsorship.
