A LEADING tourist attraction near Whitchurch is looking to increase its output after submitting a planning application.
The Bombay Sapphire distillery, in Laverstoke, has lodged plans with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to “increase production capacity” with the installation of a new still.
The proposal would see a new distiller, or ‘still’, added to one of its still houses to the west of the site.
Two windows and section of brickwork will be “temporarily removed” to allow for the installation.
Inside the building, a staircase will be removed and a mezzanine platform floor extended to provide access to the new still.
No alteration is proposed to current pedestrian and vehicle access route within the site.
Bombay Sapphire was contacted for more information but said it could not comment at this stage.
