FIVE new coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Hampshire Hospitals Trust in the latest 24-hour period, the latest official figures show.
NHS England figures show 313 people had died in hospital at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as of 5pm on Monday, January 18.
That was an increase of five compared to Sunday, when there were 308.
It means there have been 32 deaths in the past week, up from 29 the previous week.
It comes as the UK records 1,610 deaths within 28 days of a positive test- the highest daily figure since the start of the pandemic.
The victims were among 7,896 deaths recorded across the South East.
The government coronavirus dash board shows that as of Tuesday, January 19, 125 people had died within 28 days of a positive test in the Test Valley area since the start of the pandemic.
Public Health England confirmed a total of 4,266,577 people in the UK have now received the first dose of a vaccine, a rise of 204,076 on yesterday’s figures.
