ANDOVER has missed out on most of the snow so far this winter - but that could be about to change, with a weather warning issued for the area tomorrow.
The Met Office has announced a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, covering much of the South East, including Test Valley.
The warning comes into affect from 3am tomorrow (Sunday, 24 January) and lasts through to 6pm in the evening.
It says: "A band of rain will turn readily to snow as it spreads eastwards."
Furthermore, as of 10.30am on Saturday (January 23), the Weather Channel is predicting a "a mix of rain and snow" for the town on Sunday 24, with snowfall of between three and seven centimetres.
Residents are being advised to take extra care if making any essential journies.
The Met Office says that the yellow warning means some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with longer journey times by road, bus and train services and the potential for some roads to become blocked on higher level routes.
The added that there will probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
