GRITTERS will be making their way around the county this afternoon and overnight, in anticipation of sub-zero conditions ahead.
Hampshire County Council's Highways team has confirmed that its gritting team will be working particualrly hard this weekend to ensure roads across the region are as safe as possible.
In a tweet, Hampshire Highways said: "Our gritters are heading out across all areas this afternoon as RSTs fall below zero with a risk of hoar frost & ice.
"Our gangs will be out again tonight in all areas at 03:00 in preparation of snow predicted early Sunday morning."

The information comes as Andover is reportedly set for snowfall - with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in the area.
The county council also has an interactive online tool, which allows residents to track the gritters' routes in their area, and also find out where they can access grit salt for themselves.
