AN ANDOVER secondary school is offering someone a £28,000 salary to take on a new role of ‘remarkable guide’.
Winton Community Academy has posted the job advert, which is fixed term for 18 months starting in March, describing it as “a new exciting role to expand children’s horizons and empower them to find their own remarkable”.
The school, run by Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), has 656 pupils and is graded “good” by Ofsted.
The job description posted by Education Hampshire asks for applicants who are “passionate about inspiring and nurturing the potential in students” and “excellent at building relationships with people from different backgrounds and different arenas to facilitate opportunities and experiences that students need to find their remarkable”.
The successful candidate will be responsible for helping students to "develop themselves and their inner strength, worth and belief".
AET said its new remarkable guides will also learn how to coach and mentor students to “pursue their dreams and get the best out of themselves”.
