Work is well underway to build new flats at the site of historic Andover pub The Borough Arms.
In 2012, the pub in Adelaide Road was replaced by The Adelaide Convenience Store. Planning permission to convert this into flats and shops was approved in January 2019.
Developers Benridge will build four new flats and two new shops on the site, according to documents lodged with Test Valley Borough Council.
RK Bayford Building Contractors Limited is the contractor.
Richard Keith Bayford, director of the contractor group, said at present there is no completion date for the project.
He said: “As subcontractors we are providing 7 to 8 people on site. We are working alongside Benridge Developments.”
