WITH worrying new strains of the disease being identified in recent days and a fourth vaccine likely to be approved for UK use, many are wondering when they will be vaccinated.
Th UK rolled out the nation’s biggest vaccination programme late last year and more than 9 million people have now received their first does.
The vaccine roll out is seen as the light at the end of the tunnel, offering a path back to normality.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock has assured the public that eventually all adults, including the under-50s, will be offered a jab.
But when can you expect to be vaccinated?
Omnicalculator, have created a tool which estimates when you might be offered the first and second dose of the coronavirus vaccine - and how many people are ahead of you in the queue.
The calculator is based on the UK's current nine-point priority list which considers your age, your health, and whether you work in the NHS.
The current priority list is as follows:
- Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
- All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
- All those 75 years of age and over
- All those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
- All those 65 years of age and over
- All individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
- All those 60 years of age and over
- All those 55 years of age and over
