The latest Covid-19 test results show that it's a mixed picture across Test Valley this week, with a similar situation across many areas of Andover.
Some areas have seen significant falls in cases, while others with limited cases before have increased dramatically.
In the week leading up to January 29, Test Valley recorded 400 cases, an increase of five from the week before, with a rolling rate of 317.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Test Valley is also broken into smaller geographic areas, known as MSOAs, or Middle Layer Super Output Areas, which are smaller, postcode-linked areas that are used for a range of government statistics.
Andover London Road & East Anton continues to have the highest number of cases, but has now dropped below the 100 case mark. It had 78 cases, a significant fall of 27, and a rolling rate of 459.8 per 100,000. This rate is significantly higher than the English average of 269.1.
Tidworth & Ludgershall also had high case numbers, at 62, while Andover South had 55, which is an increase of 38 on the previous reporting period – an almost 225 per cent rise. Other areas with significant case loads, including Andover Newbury Road; Nether Wallop, Kings Somborne & Dunbridge and Andover West
Of areas with cases, Overton & North Waltham had the lowest number, with five. This is a decrease of 11 from the previous reporting period, and a rate of 73.2 per 100,000.
As of Wednesday, February 3, Test Valley had reported 4,613 positive cases of Covid-19. There have so far been 175 deaths with Covid-19 recorded as the cause of death.
