Andover could feel as cold as Lapland next week as the Met Office predicts chilly days ahead.
Temperatures are forecast to feel as low as -8°C late on Sunday and into the early hours of the morning, with sub-zero temperatures expected across the day.
Snow is predicted too, with a 60 per cent chance of snow from 11pm on Saturday 6 until 6pm on Sunday 7.
A yellow weather warning is in place for heavy snow across Southern England at the weekend, with a further warning for snow and ice next week.
The Met Office says: “Heavy snow at times will bring some travel disruption” and warns that communities “could become cut off”.
It says residents should expect:
• Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers
• Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel
• Some rural communities could become cut off
• Power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected
