Community Order
An Andover woman has been given a community order after admitting dealing drugs.
Zoe-Marie Kellett, of Florence Court, admitted supplying Flualprozolam and Pregabalin, which are both controlled drugs of Class C.
Flualprozolam is a type of tranquilizer, whilst Pregabalin is used to treat epilepsy and fibromyalgia, among other conditions.
It happened between February 1 and July 8, 2020.
The 44-year-old also admitted to stealing a £40 paddling pool from Asda.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, she was given a four week curfew, where she must stay at her home or rear garden between 7pm and 7am each night. She was also told to pay £135 in costs and surcharges.
Eight times the limit
An Andoverian was almost eight times the drug-drive limit as he drove through the town centre on Christmas Eve 2019, a court has heard.
Reuben Twigg had 384 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, in a litre of his blood, where the legal limit is 50.
The 27-year-old was stopped by police on Shepherds Spring Lane on December 24, 2019, whilst behind the wheel of his car.
Twigg, of Walworth Road, Picket Piece, was banned from driving for a year at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
He was further fined £253, and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
Twigg indicated a guilty plea to a further charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine, a Class A drug, and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on February 11 for sentencing.
Disqualified
A man from Sutton Scotney has been disqualified from driving.
James Alan Roy McCulloch was caught driving his Ford Transit van on the M27 last year which under the influence of THC.
THC is a breakdown product of cannabis.
The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to drug driving at Hedge End, Southampton on April 17, 2020.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, McCulloch, of Wonston Lane, was banned from driving for a year.
He was fined £300, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
Man to face trial
An Andover man will face trial after being accused of drug driving.
Marek Albert Jawor, of Camelot Close, has been charged with being behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Vivaro on North Way, whilst over the specified drug limit.
He was found with 2.9 micrograms of THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - per litre of blood.
The incident happened on April 18, 2020, during the first coronavirus lockdown.
The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, and will face trial at the same court on August 23.
