A TEST Valley couple who are accused of neglecting their child will go on trial later this year.
The parents – who are not named because magistrates made an order banning the identification of their child – appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday last week.
The pair denied that they had wilfully assaulted, ill-treated, neglected, abandoned or exposed their daughter in a manner likely to cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to health between November 1 and 10, 2019.
Her father is fighting to dismiss a further charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
His appeal to dismiss the charge will go before the same court on April 29.
A trial has been listed to take place on September 13, this year.
