TWO men were seen going door-to-door this morning offering Covid vaccinations in Test Valley, prompting police to issue a warning.
Officers say that this is a scam and have urged residents to remain "vigilant".
The men were seen knocking on doors in Chilworth, near Southampton, on Saturday morning (February 20), offering coronavirus vaccinations.
A spokesperson for Test Valley police said: "This is a scam and the NHS do not offer vaccines of doorsteps.
"While it may seem like common sense, these are desperate times and some of the more vulnerable members of our communities may fall victim of the fraudster's methods.
"Please be vigilant, look after your families and report any suspicious incidents to us on 101."
Vaccinations are currently being offered by the NHS for people aged over 65, and in some areas, those who have underlying health conditions that mean they are at higher risk of serious disease or dying from Covid.
Patients will receive a letter from the NHS when it is their turn to be called for vaccination, or their GP practice will get in touch and invite them to book their vaccination.
As of Thursday, 16.8 million people have received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine.
