The latest Covid-19 test results show that there are very few cases across Andover and northern Test Valley, with most areas having less than three cases.
Eight areas, including urban and rural areas, had the lowest number of cases, with rates recorded as suppressed. When cases are less than three, the exact number is not published to protect the identities of those with the virus.
In the week leading up to March 5, Test Valley recorded 40 cases, a decrease of 40 from the week before, with a rolling rate of 31.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Test Valley is also broken into smaller geographic areas, known as MSOAs, or Middle Layer Super Output Areas, which are smaller, postcode-linked areas that are used for a range of government statistics.
Breaking down the cases over the week up to March 5 by area, many of the MSOAs continued to decline.
Andover London Road & East Anton continues to have the highest number of cases, but has now fallen into single figures. It had six cases, a fall of 18, and a rolling rate of 35.4 per 100,000.
Tidworth & Ludgershall also had six cases, but with a slightly lower rate. Andover Newbury Road had the highest case rate, at 52.2, but had just four cases. This rate is still significantly lower than the English average of 61.
The only area to see an increase in Covid cases in this reporting period was Nether Wallop, Kings Somborne & Dunbridge, which went up by one. This took it to three cases, and a rolling rate of 38.6.
As of Wednesday, March 10, Test Valley had reported 5,168 positive cases of Covid-19. There have so far been 240 deaths with Covid-19 recorded as the cause of death.
41,131 people had been vaccinated in Test Valley according to NHS figures released on March 4. Across Hampshire, 620,654 people have now been vaccinated, including 597,846 first doses and 22,808 second doses. This is an increase of 73,191 from the previous week.
