POLICE have confirmed that the man arrested after a car hit a wall near Hurstbourne Tarrant on Saturday has now been charged.
Officers on routine patrol in Test Valley on Saturday, April 10 noticed a vehicle driving "erratically" on the A343 towards Hurstbourne Tarrant shortly after 10.30am, Hampshire Constabulary told the Advertiser.
Immediately after the red Peugeot 307 Sport had come to the attention of officers, it lost control at a cross roads and collided with a wall.
No one was injured and the driver was arrested at the scene.
James Wilson, 29, of Dines Close, Hurstbourne Tarrant, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, vehicle and property damage, driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit, and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 27.
