ANDOVER residents would be forgiven for asking where their summer is hiding, with further rain expected this weekend.
Saturday is likely to see showers around 4pm with the weather improving into the evening with some sunny spells. Temperatures are not expected to exceed 15 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday the outlook is not great, with mild weather until midday when rain becomes much more likely as the afternoon draws on. There is a 90 per cent chance of rain from 4pm until 10pm with southwesterly winds potentially reaching 20 miles per hour.
A yellow warning for win has been issued for Southern England, with very strong winds expected in the southwest of up to 60 miles per hour.
Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office Dan Suri said: “There are some glimmers of hope in the forecast into next week, with more settled weather possible from Tuesday. In areas of prolonged sunshine, we should be seeing some quite pleasant conditions, but night temperatures will continue to stay stubbornly low.”
The weather is expected to become more sunny by the end of the month, though given recent weather, that will not take much.
