A motorcyclist has been killed in an accident which closed part of a the M3 near the junction for Andover for several hours yesterday.
A Southampton man in his 40s was involved in a collision with a lorry between junctions 8 and 9 on the southbound carriageway of the M3 shortly before 2pm yesterday.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers are making enquiries as to the exact circumstances of the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who can assist them.
