THINKING of fun things to do every half term can be a struggle, especially if you have to stick to a budget.
But fear not, there is plenty of family activities to try in Hampshire this half term.
We have rounded up seven day trips that will suit families wanting to spend just £30 or less this May half term.
Feed Alpacas and Goats
Go and spend an hour feeding the Alpacas and Goats in the woods recharging your batteries at Petlake Alpacas in the New Forest. It costs £15 for one ticket which admits up to five people and includes five bags of food.
Follow the fairy trail at Furzy Gardens
There are hours of fun to be had searching for Furzy Garden’s 40 famous fairy doors or playing in the play area.
Creep around at the base of trees and you might discover twisted in gnarled old oak or nestled under bushes, a tiny door no more than a foot high, including a fairy hospital, sweet spot and even a rocket ship.
Adults can enjoy the fragrance and beautiful colours of the flowers in full bloom. A family ticket for two adults and three children costs £24.
Visit the Solent Sky Museum
The Solent region was the centre of aviation research and development between 1910 and 1960 and Solent Sky houses over 20 aircraft from the golden age of aviation.
It is also home to the Hampshire Police and Fire Heritage Trust and is packed with historical items and photographs that show how the services have developed over the years.
A family ticket will set you back £20 for the day.
Watch a film at the cinema
Going to the cinema doesn’t have to cost a fortune, in fact it can cost as little as £9.96 for a family of four to watch a film.
Over the school holidays, many cinemas offer reduced price viewings of children’s films early in the morning.
The Vue cinema offers mini morning viewings of Wolfwalkers every morning a 10am with both adult and child tickets costing £2.49 each.
The Odeon offers viewings of Two by Two: Overboard! at 10am every morning with both adult and child tickets costing £3.25 each.
Try adventure golf
A family favourite and a great way to spend a day or just an afternoon. Mini golf is the ideal activity for a catch up with your friends or family and get a bit of exercise.
Hampshire is home to several mini golf courses, including a Knight and Dragon theme course in Basingstoke with family tickets costing £21.
Or visit dinosaur themed course in Southampton with family tickets setting you back £29.
Other mini golf courses can be found in the Lymington, Andover, Gosport and Alton.
Go to a National Trust Garden
Why not visit a National Trust garden and wonder round the beautiful flowers?
The Vyne and Mottisfont have to be some of our favourite places, but make sure you bring your camera and a picnic to enjoy on the grass.
Prices for a one adult family start at £19.50.
