THIS Bank holiday weekend many of us will be looking forward to spending quality time with family and friends.
It will be the first bank holiday since restrictions on inside hospitality were eased, making it the perfect opportunity to catch up over a coffee or nurse a hangover with a fry up.
Ahead of the long weekend we have searched through Tripadvisor to show you the best cafes that Hampshire has to offer.
Anyone can leave public reviews and opinions about their experience on the Tripadvisor site to help others struggling to choose a place to visit.

1. Saltwater
This seaside café in Milford on Sea takes the top spot on Trip advisor with 212 excellent reviews.
The café serves breakfast, lunches and snacks, using local produce to create a varied menu including delicious milkshakes.
One happy customer visited earlier this month and said: “This cafe was a wonderful find. We visited Milford on Sea to see the Needles. The weather wasn't great so we decided to stop for coffee and came across this lovely cafe. The coffee was superb, as were the pastries and the service. Definitely recommend! And very dog friendly too.”
2. Baffled Coffee
Placing second is Baffled Coffee in Portsmouth with 182 excellent reviews.
One visitor said: “I randomly popped in today and ordered the Cuban and Grilled Cheese sandwiches. Honestly it was astonishing just how good these were. Each a meal in its own right and packed full of flavour. They do not scrimp on ingredients. The grilled cheese is probably the best sandwich I have ever had. Top quality. Good service.”
3. Peggy Mays Cafe
Situated on Lyndhurst High Street is the café that takes third place with a whopping 400 reviews excellent reviews.
A recent visitor said: “Lovely!!Came in Saturday afternoon had a nice, iced coffee and carrot cakes. Staff were very friendly greeting us with a smile. Thank you!”
4. Miss Ellie's Cafe
This Southampton based café takes fourth place with 157 excellent reviews on TripAdvisor.
A regular visitor posted: “Always love visiting here for a breakfast even a Jacket potato takeaway too. Always good value for money and the staff and Owners are so friendly. So many different choices of food and drink. Will definitely recommend."
5. The Kitchen Cafe
It seems all customers agree this café in Romsey is excellent, as the Tripadvisor page only has excellent and good reviews.
One reviewer had plenty of positives to share about this place: “This is my favourite place to eat!
My friend and I regularly visit here for a traditional English breakfast or a panini for lunch. Their food is always cooked to perfection and their bread pudding is to die for. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and we always look forward to our visits.
