A heartbroken Tidworth couple is raising funds for the funeral of their stillborn baby after finding it difficult to meet the expenses.
Scarlett Davies and James, who live in Wylye Road in Tidworth are looking to raise £1,500 for the funeral of their stillborn baby girl Millie-Grace.
On a fundraiser page, Scarlett has shared the devastating time she and James had to go through during the last stage of her pregnancy.
“Sadly our Millie-Grace was born sleeping at 35 weeks pregnant.
“This has shattered the worlds – me, her daddy’s and our family’s – as we were told everything was going ok, up until I was blue-lighted to hospital with the thought I was in pre-term labour.
“But after a scan, we were told that they could not find her heartbeat.
“Fifteen minutes after finding this, I had to delivery our beautiful baby girl.”
Scarlett, 27, said they do not have the fund to give Millie-Grace the best send-off she deserves.
“We have the unthinkable thought of her funeral and unfortunately we don’t have the funds to give her the best send-off she deserves.
“Any donations would be truly grateful as, after talking to the funeral directors for what we would like, it will cost us £1,500 and unfortunately, James and I do not have this, which completely breaks our heart.”
As of this morning (Saturday), they have collected only £628 from 33 donors.
She also said Millie’s cremation is going to be a close-family function due to Covid restrictions.
