ANDOVER'S Covid vaccine centre will be offering walk-in jabs this Saturday.
The Lights theatre, which has been transformed into a Covid vaccination centre, will be offering first and second doses to those eligible without an appointment necessary.
First doses are available for anyone aged 18 or over yet to have their first dose, whilst second doses are available to anyone who had had their first dose at least eight weeks ago.
You can drop in at the centre between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, July 17, with residents not even required to be registered with a GP.
The vaccine centre is being run by the Andover Primary Care Network (PCN) - a group of GP surgeries in the town.
Dr Ben Sharpe, partner at St Mary's surgery and clinical lead at the Covid vaccine centre, said: "People can just roll up to The Lights this Saturday, roll up their sleeves, and Grab A Jab.
"The drop-in session will be run at the Andover theatre by local GP practices, keen to find ways of making it easy for everyone to get protected against Covid 19.
"No appointments are necessary, and people don’t even need to be registered with a GP – all over-18s are welcome.
“We have made amazing progress so far, but we want to make sure that nobody is left behind. That is why we are running this Grab A Jab session – to reach as many people as we possibly can.
“Anyone can just turn up, and our teams will be there at The Lights ready to help – I would urge anyone who still hasn’t had their vaccination to come along and get their jab.”
"Getting a jab has been shown to be the best way of protecting yourself against Covid so we'd strongly recommend coming down on Saturday."
People can still get vaccinated via services run by their local GP surgery, or by using the national booking service – just call 119 or visit the online NHS booking page.
Walk-in Covid vaccine appointments are also being offered at Basingstoke fire station - the closest mass vaccination clinic to Andover.
It is being run by Solent NHS Trust, who are offering doses without an appointment between 8am and 7.30pm, seven days a week.
