The first indoor performance at The Lights theatre in 18 months has been scheduled for the autumn.
The Lights announced on March 17, 2020, that all its performances were to be cancelled following the Covid-19 outbreak.
But there is light on the horizon with comedian Omid Djalili announced as the first indoor performance at Andover's theatre in a year and a half.
His Good Times Tour, scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, will pave the way for a packed autumn-winter season, with drama Crimes in Egypt set to follow two days later.
The Take That Experience will follow on October 1, with the Andover Record and CD Fair hosted the next day and comedian Stephen K Amos arriving that evening.
The venue has implemented policies to ensure that the venue, which is currently being used as a Covid vaccination centre, is Covid-secure.
They have also been accredited with The Society of London Theatres and UK Theatres ‘See It Safely’ kite mark, in recognition of the steps taken.
England will remove all Covid restrictions on July 19, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave the go-ahead yesterday.
