Art enthusiasts now have a chance to visit Andover artists in their homes, studios and galleries free of charge, offering an opportunity to learn more about their works.

With over 250 venues open, Hampshire Open Studios is an annual art trail where the public can visit artists during the ten days leading up to the bank holiday on Monday, August 30.

This year, artists from Andover have also joined the programme with Test Valley Art Trail.

Partnered with Test Valley Borough of Culture and funded through Test Valley Arts Foundation, the trail has been designed to help you find your way around 40 venues across the Andover, Romsey and Stockbridge regions.

The art trail will begin on Saturday, August 21.

Visitors can also enter a prize draw to win £100 towards artwork from your favourite Hampshire Open Studios artist

Andover town has a good cluster of venues including Andover Arts' vibrant mixed media exhibition on the theme of 'Hampshire' at Andover Museum.

Among the featured Andover artists is Keith Pattison who will be exhibiting colourful abstract landscape paintings, prints, cards and other smaller items at his home studio.

Visitors can also head to Project Workshops nearby at Quarley.

There you will find a lively and varied community of artists – Elaine Peto (ceramic animal sculptor), Soraya French (multimedia artist), Katy Rundle (textile artist), Sally Newton (fine art), Matt Duke (bronze sculptor), Hannah Willow (artist and jewellery maker), Jeremy Smith (fine furniture designer/maker), Sally Newton (painting), Mark Taylor & David Hill (glass blowing/recreating ancient glass).

There will also be on-site glass blowing using a wood-fired furnace.
