THE trust which runs Basingstoke hospital is asking everyone to test for Covid before visiting.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), which runs Basingstoke, Andover, and Winchester hospitals, is asking visitors to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) which can be done at home, before attending any of its three sites.
It said: “It’s important we do our bit to protect everyone around us from Covid-19.”

The latest government figures show 75 people tested positive for Covid on August 14 in Basingstoke and Deane.
Between August 8 and August 14, 506 people in the borough had a confirmed positive test result, which was an increase of 19.1 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
A total of 22 people were admitted to hospital in the borough between August 2 and August 8, which was a decrease of 47.6 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
On August 10, 21 patients with coronavirus were being cared for in Basingstoke hospital, with one on a ventilator.
One person died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test between August 8 and August 14 in Basingstoke and Deane.
