A major road near Andover has been closed in both directions following a "serious collision", police have revealed.
A303 has been closed between the A3057 junction and the A3093 junction, Hampshire Constabulary have informed.
Police said they are currently responding to a "serious collision", while motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find a different route.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We are currently responding to a serious collision on the A303 near Andover and have had to close the road in both directions.
"The closures have been put in place from the A3057 junction to the A3093 junction, and we would please ask you to avoid the area and find a different route.
"We will provide a further update when the road is reopened or we have any further information to share."
We have contacted police for further information on the collision.
