POLICE are appealing for witnesses following reports of an attempted burglary at a property on Winchester Road near Kingsclere.
At 2.34am this morning (Wednesday, August 25), officers were called to reports of two unknown males trying to gain access to the premises.
The suspects, who were both wearing dark clothing, were disturbed and fled the scene. Nothing was reported stolen.
Just 30 minutes later, police received a second report of another attempted break in at a property 10 miles away on Park Lane, near West End Green.
Two men wearing dark clothing were seen, but again, nothing was reported stolen.
At this time, police say that there is nothing to suggest both incidents are linked.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson added: "Were you around at the time? Did you see any suspicious behaviour at either location?
"We would like to remind members of the public to make sure their sheds are protected and to consider installing additional security, such as locks and CCTV."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 44210338754.
