Faulty car
A BMW driver was found driving in Whitchurch with a faulty vehicle.
Danny Michael Townsend, of Stockton Road, Reading, was driving a BMW 325i on Newbury Road in Whitchurch on January 17.
The 25-year-old’s vehicle had incorrect tyre tread on the rear nearside wheel, while the rear offside wheel had a tyre with an exposed ply or cord.
He was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, but the case has been adjourned due to Covid-19 related reasons, with a rescheduled hearing to be confirmed.
Assault charge
AN ANDOVER woman is accused of assaulting another woman by beating her.
Laura Syddall, of Stubbs Court, allegedly assaulted the woman by beating her on July 26 at Town Mills, Bridge Street.
The 40-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, August 19.
She has been granted conditional bail until her next appearance at the same court on February 21.
Drug driving
AN ANDOVER woman is accused of driving with drugs in her system in Basingstoke last year.
Natalie Mackay, of Mercury Drive, reportedly drove her vehicle along Schubert Road in Basingstoke on February 3 while exceeding the legal limit of cocaine.
The 51-year-old was due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court last Thursday, August 19, where the case was adjourned to September 16 at the same court.
90mph speed
A MAN has denied driving at 90mph on a dual carriage way in Andover.
Jon Goodfield, of Stroud, Gloucestshire, is accused of speeding on the A303 near Parkhouse Cross on March 11 2020.
The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence on July 29 2020.
He was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday, August 17.
However, the case has been adjourned due to Covid-19 related reasons, with a rescheduled hearing to be confirmed.
Audi on A303
AN ANDOVER man drove his Audi above the speed limit near Longparish last year.
Carl Stephen Willington, of Cashmere Drive, was driving at more than 80mph on the A303 on February 3 2020.
The 40-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence on September 7 2020.
He was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, but the case has been adjourned due to Covid-19 related reasons.
