AFTER spending a year in lockdown in our homes, it is easy to see why so many people are itching to move.
Property website Zoopla has shared details of the most popular homes available for sale in Hampshire right now.
Coming in at the top of the list is an incredible four-bedroom detached bungalow.
The Basingstoke property is currently up for auction with a guide price of £170,000, well under the average UK house price of £256,000.
Situated on St John's Road, Oakley, the property is within half a mile of local schools as well as close to rail links and local amenities.
The attractive village lies under five miles away from the bustling town of Basingstoke and around 4 miles south of Reading.
Whilst the property is listed with a guide price of £170,000, the minimum reserve price at auction is likely to be higher.
According to Which?, each property listed for auction has a guide price which is what the auction house or seller, thinks the property is worth.
But they state properties also have a receiver price, which is often kept confidential, which is the minimum price the seller will accept for the property at auction.
The property is in need of modernisation and would make the perfect project home for first time buyers or those wanting a challenge.
Consisting of six rooms the property is comes with drive in access to a detached garage, large front and rear gardens and an outbuilding situated behind the property.
It is noted on the Zoopla listing that there is “potential to re-develop the property to create a larger house in line with the neighbouring properties, subject to obtaining the necessary consents”.
The bungalow will go up for online auction on September 14 with estate agents Barnett Ross.
According to market estimates, the average value for a house in the postcode area is £472,017.
Two properties in the area have recently sold this year, one totalled £585,000 with the other fetching £240,000.
