ONE person has been taken to hospital after being trapped in their vehicles during an incident on Winchester Road (B3420) in Goodworth Clatford this afternoon.
Two Andover fire crews scrambled to the scene at 12.17pm to reports of two trapped casualties.
The collision involved a car and a van, both of which had left the road.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the Advertiser: “Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to the casualties, who were conscious and breathing, before they were assisted from the vehicle by Helicopter Emergency Medical Service paramedics.
“Crews made the scene safe before leaving and returning to the station at 1.06pm.”
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed that they were called at 12.15pm to a collision involving two vehicles.
A spokesperson told the Advertiser: “We sent to the scene the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, ambulance crew and ambulance officer.
“They were assessing and treating three patients for non life threatening injuries. Following treatment at the scene by all our crews just one patient was taken to North Hampshire Hospital.”
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson added: “We were called at 12.14pm today to reports of a collision involving a car and a van on Winchester Road in Goodworth Clatford.
“Minor injuries were reported to us.”
