THE company which lost one of their employees in a tragic road incident near Andover last month has set up a fundraising page to help support the family he has left behind.

Tom Watson, 30, was a recovery truck driver at Avery Recover and was on his way to a job in Andover on August 25 when he spotted mum-of-two Alex Britton, whose car had broken down on the A303.

Stopping to help, he was tragically involved in a fatal incident involving a HGV in which three people, including Tom and Alex, were killed.

In a tribute to Tom his family described him as “a kind-hearted, generous man who loved to help people and do anything for his family” and also said that he loved his job.

Now, his employers at Salisbury-based Avery Recovery have set up a fundraising page to support his grieving wife and family.

Posting to the page, the team wrote: “We have been inundated with support from within the Recovery Industry and beyond, many of you wishing to donate to help Tom’s wife as she moves through this next period and with the costs that will inevitably come her way with funeral and general living expenses.

“Thank you for whatever you can give, it is much appreciated and everything will go straight to Tom’s wife.

“Tom we will never forget you. Rest in Peace.”

The page has already raised more than £3,500 pounds.
