A CHARITY based in Micheldever is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Horse assisted learning charity Tower House Horses has been helping people to improve their mental health and wellbeing through therapeutic time spent with its horses for a decase.

High Sheriff of Hampshire Philip Sykes and his wife Caroline attended the celebratory event, along with all the charity's trustees, partner charity organisations, and many clients, past and present, who have benefitted from this unique approach.

Tower House Horses offers innovative programmes to help people improve their confidence, self-esteem and emotional resilience, and attracts clients from all over Hampshire, including Andover.

Jane Barkes, chair of trustees, thanked everyone present for their contribution to the success of Tower House Horses over the past ten years, and particularly during the pandemic when they continued to support clients because all of their work takes place outdoors.

Tower House Horses' CEO Susie Little said: "We are looking forward to continuing to serve our beneficiaries, who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, domestic abuse or the effects of isolation brought on by the pandemic."
