A CARE provider in Andover celebrating a special milestone alongside their regional colleagues after proudly delivering their one millionth home care visit.
Bluebird Care Andover & Stockbridge, which deliver services directly to people’s homes, have continued to care for those in need throughout the Covid restrictions and lockdowns.
The care provider, which started out with just two team members, now employ over 200 local staff. They, alongside their regional sister offices Bluebird Care Alton, Bordon and Liphook, Petersfield & Havant and Winchester, Eastleigh & Romsey provided the 1 million care visits to over 4,500 customers in the community.
Speaking of their achievement, Norman Murphy, managing director of Bluebird Care Andover & Stockbridge said: “It’s an incredibly proud moment to reach the million-visit mark and just shows the incredible effort and commitment our team has for those who are most in need.
“We pride ourselves on providing outstanding care come rain, snow or shine, and even throughout a pandemic.”
Karen Monckton, a care assistant at Bluebird Care Andover & Stockbridge said: “When you consider the amount of time, planning, effort and coordination that goes into each home care visit, it amazes me to think we have collectively undertaken those efforts on one million occasions. I’m immensely proud to have been a part of it, and know I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say how much of a privilege it is go to work for customers in the community.”
