PEOPLE travelling by train between Andover and Whitchurch this morning may face difficulty due to a fallen tree.
South Western Railway (SWR) has confirmed this morning (Monday, September 27) that services between Andover and Whitchurch could be subject to cancellation or delays due to a fallen tree which is blocking the track.
A SWR spokesperson said: "We have been informed that there is a tree blocking the railway between Andover and Whitchurch.
"This means that trains are currently unable to run on the Basingstoke bound line. Our specialist teams are en-route to clear the tree from the track.
For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
The line has since reopened, but disruption is expected until 10am.
